Francis S. Giglio, Jr., of Dartmouth

Francis (Frank) S. Giglio, Jr., son of the late Frank S. Giglio, Sr., and the late Josephine (Campanella) Giglio, passed on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021. He was the loving husband of Karen (Shaker) Giglio. Frank was born on November 3, 1935, in Providence. He was raised in Bristol, and moved to Dartmouth in 1993.

He is survived by his wife and his two sons: Christopher F. Giglio and his wife Ashley Gray Giglio of Arlington, Va.; and Francis S. Giglio III and his wife Mary (Werschnig) Giglio of Westfield, NJ. He is also survived by two step-children: Tracy (Robinson) McGlinchey and her husband Kevin McGlinchey of Old Lyme, Conn.; and Todd Robinson and his wife Allison Glasgow of New York. He leaves behind his 9 adored grandchildren:  Alex and Matthew Giglio of Virginia; Christopher, Jonathan, and Katherine Giglio of New Jersey; and Brynn, Griffin, and Carter McGlinchey of Connecticut; and Sam Robinson of New York. 

His arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth. Services will be delayed until it is safe to gather to remember him. For online tributes and to view his online obituary, please visit: www.waring-sullivan.com

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
