Firefighters from Tiverton and Portsmouth will support the Muscular Dystrophy Association this weekend and next with the annual Fill the Boot fundraising campaign to help kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases live longer and grow stronger.
Tiverton Fire Department Local 1703 will hit the streets with boots in hand asking pedestrians, motorists, customers and other passersby to make a donation to MDA on Saturday, August 26 and September 2 at the intersection of Bulgarmarsh, Crandall and Stafford Street from 9 a.m. to noon .
Meanwhile, Portsmouth firefighters will set up ‘fill the boot’ stations in their town.
