Evan W. Zompa, 25, of Barrington, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 6, 2019.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of Michael Zompa of Warren and Orlee (Weltman) Zompa of Barrington.
He was a graduate of Barrington High School, Class of 2011, and placed second in the state for their wrestling team. After graduation, Evan worked as a plumber. An all-around athlete, he enjoyed riding his bicycle, skiing and playing baseball and basketball. Evan also enjoyed playing video games and was a great big brother.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four siblings, Michael Anthony, Erica Eve, Nicole Marie and John Michael Zompa; one niece, Ava Otterbach; maternal grandparents, Joel Weltman and his wife Relly Weltman; paternal grandmother, Lucille Zompa; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was the grandson of the late Raymond Zompa.
His funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren. Visiting hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., prior to the service. Relatives and friends are invited.
