Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Boylan) Farnham, 85, of Warren, RI and formerly of Somerset, MA, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at Grace Barker Health in Warren.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Robert Boylan and Sarah (Bliffins) Boylan.
Betty attended Dominican Academy and graduated from the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. She was a beloved Registered Nurse for 50 years before retiring in 2004. She was employed by Charlton Memorial Hospital and Clifton Rehabilitation Nursing Center during her career.

She was a member of the Rhode Island Hospital Retired Nursing Association and the Somerset Bocci League. Betty enjoyed going to the beach, being outdoors and going for walks with her dear friend, Pierrette Sullivan.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Cooper and her husband Matthew of Swansea, and Laura McGinn and her husband John of Dunedin, FL; and four grandchildren, David and Dory Cooper and Matthew and Sarah McGinn.

A Funeral Mass and Burial will be held and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s honor may be made to RISPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915 or to Grace Barker Health, Activities Department, 54 Barker Ave., Warren, RI 02885.
