PORTSMOUTH — The Eastern Rhode Island 4-H Country Fair returns to Glen Park this weekend, July 15 and 16, with two days of livestock animals, demonstrations, kids’ games and contests and more fun.
The 48th fair started behind the Portsmouth fire station in 1970 and has grown every year. All the organizers ask from attendees is a $2 donation upon entering.
This year the fair has added a car show, raffles and is selling its own T-shirts. Both days there will be 4-H exhibits, children’s games, water slides, face-painting, a dunk tank, a bouncy house, animal shows, vendors, crafters and more.
