East Providence holding three tree lighting events
The Riverside Renaissance Movement will host its 10th annual tree lighting event on Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Riverside Square. There will be carols by Voices of Christmas, ornament decorating, hot chocolate, wreath and ornament sales, refreshments from local businesses, and Santa.
The City of East Providence will host its annual tree lighting event on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. at City Hall Plaza (145 Taunton Ave.). Santa arrives at 6 p.m. Holiday performances, free hot cocoa, community bonfire, local artisanal shopping, food vendors, and Santa arrives by fire truck.
Rumford’s annual tree lighting will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Freedom Green Park Centre (304 N Broadway, Rumford.
