The Barrington High School boys soccer team defeated St. Anthony's 1-0 in a non-league soccer game at Victory Field on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 14.

The Eagles' Alex Soares chipped a shot over the Friars' goalie's head from outside the 18-yard box to give Barrington the edge.

The non-league win followed a lopsided Eagles' victory against Smithfield. Barrington topped the Sentinels 7-0 and improved its record to 4-7-1 in Division I standings.

Matt Bates and Ryan Perugini each scored two goals against Smithfield, while Aiden Doyle, Alex Soares and Lucian Fairbrother netted goals also. Doyle finished with two assists, while Eli Muller, Ned Shapiro, Bates and Fairbrother also had assists. Sean Imbush and Jason Troiano combined to make eight saves in net.
