Dorothy “Dot” (Muciaro) Silva, 86, of Bristol, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol.
She was the wife of the late Robert R. “Mickey” Silva, Sr.
Dot was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Luigi and Angelina (Troiano) Muciaro.
She was a supervisor for the Monet Jewelry Company for many years before she retired from there and went to work with her husband Mickey.
She has been a Bristol resident since 1985, coming from Providence.
Dot was the owner/operator, along with her husband “Mickey,” of the Hope Diner in Bristol from 1982 to 2013. She really enjoyed working all those years, before retiring from there in 2013.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, the holidays with family and friends, and she also enjoyed shopping.
Mrs. Silva was the mother of Lorene Silva of Bristol, Robert Silva Jr. of Bristol, Bruce Silva and Barbara Crowley of Bristol, and Richard and Debbie Silva of Florida.
She was the sister of Louise Giarrusso of Cranston.
Dot was the grandmother of Paula Dowding, Kenneth Mathias, Matthew Mathias.
She was the great-grandmother of Emidio DeSousa-Rosa, Seanna Mathias, Nolan Mathias and Jace Mathias.
She was the sister of the late Paul Muciaro and the late Livia Pistoor.
Services are private at this time. Calling hours and flowers are omitted.
