Donald R. Collins, Sr., 69, of Bristol

Donald R. Collins, Sr., 69, of Bristol passed away unexpectedly in Providence on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021. He was the longtime companion of Kristen Fludder.

Born in Virginia Beach, Va., he was the son of the late Clarence and Agnes (MacDonald) Collins.

Donald was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club and the Cup Defenders here in Bristol. He also enjoyed cooking.

In addition to Kristen, his companion, Don also leaves behind his children: Donald R. Collins, Jr. (Christie), Jennifer Collins (Tom Warren), Jonathon Collins; his grandchildren: Avery Warren, Parker Collins, Abbie June Collins; and his sister: Nancy Collins.

In death, Donald is reunited with his parents and his siblings, James Collins and Richard Collins.

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, are Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m.
