Dolores Arnold, 87, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021. She was the wife of the late Henry C. Arnold.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Oliver) Santos.
Del, as we all knew her, was in the restaurant business for many years in Warren as a waitress, bartender, and cook. She worked at Cozy Inn, Pini’s Island Tavern, and The Town House. She loved her sons, she loved life, and always was looking to put a smile on your face. We will miss her dearly.
Dolores leaves behind her sons: Bruce P. Dyer (Beth), Alan R. Dyer (Arleen), and Gary S. Dyer (Kerri); her grandchildren: Abby Dyer, Katia Dyer, Anna Dyer, Jared Dyer (Kelly), Joshua Dyer, Eliza Etter (Joshua), Jake Dyer, Audrey DaVito, and Brian Dyer; her great grandchildren Chloe Dyer, Colton Malnati, Luke Dyer, Emma Dyer; and her brother Frank Santos and his wife Diane.
Dolores was pre-deceased by her husband, her parents, her son Steven S. Dyer, and her sister Roz Januario.
Her family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Silver Creek Manor and Beacon Hospice.
Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol from 4 to 7 p.m. A service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to American Legion Post 39, 1535 Olde Dixie Hwy, Vero Beach, FL 32960 or to American Legion Post 302. 84 Bay State Rd., Rehoboth, MA 02768.
