Crossover country duo at coffeehouse Saturday night

The Stone Church Coffee House welcomes for the first time a New Hampshire-based duo, Martin and Kelly. Jilly Martin and Ryan Brooks Kelly have become the next must-see act from New England to Nashville. Over the years, they’ve been featured as support acts for Brad Paisley, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Alison Krauss, Keith Urban and more. Their songs bridge the boundary between traditional and new country. Reservations are recommended. Light refreshments will be available.

WHAT: Stone Church Coffee House

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:45.

WHERE: First Congregational Church, 300 High St., Bristol

COST: $20; half-price for students. Children 5 and under are free.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
