Cristiana Virginia Rebelo, 94, of Bristol

Cristiana Virginia (Bettencourt) Rebelo, 94, of Franklin Court, Bristol, passed away on May 19, 2019, at Silver Creek Manor. She was the wife of the late Manuel Sousa Rebelo.

Born in Ribeira do Nabo, Sao Jorge, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio DaPonte and Maria (Barcellos) Bettencourt. She is survived by her children, Helio Rebelo of Middletown, Lina Pacheco and her husband Jaime of Bristol and Agnelo Rebelo and his wife Cathie of Dighton, Mass; grandchildren Jessica Murray, Ashley Pacheco, Alexandra Rebelo and Emily Rebelo; and great-granddaughter, Iris Murray. She was the sister of Lina Morteira and the late Maria DaSilva, Leonilde Lemos and Jose DaPonte.

Mrs. Rebelo was educated in Portugal and employed by American Tourister and I. Shalom before retiring.

Calling hours will be held Friday, May 24, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High S., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
