Comedy Festival has 5 days and 7 venues for laughs

The Ocean State’s only comedy festival rolls into its tenth year this weekend, with thirteen shows across Newport County and for the first time, Providence. Shows take place at seven different club and theater venues from 
Thursday, May 23, to Monday, Maay 27.

Featured comedians include Joe DeRosa (Netflix, Comedy Central), Andy Fiori (Comedy Central, The Bonfire), Chanel Ali (MTV, Comedy Central), Daniel Simonsen (Late Night with Colbert, Edinburgh Comedy Award winner), Salma Zaky (Don't Tell Comedy) and dozens more. Started in 2015, RICF is Rhode Island’s only comedy festival, held bi-annually, and produced by native Rhode Islanders Doug Key and Katie Latimer.

Spring 2024 venues are:

  • Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center, Newport
  • Ragged island Brewing, Portsmouth
  • Top of Pelham, Newport
  • Rejects Beer Co., Middletown
  • The Quencher, Newport
  • Hide @ The George, Providence
  • Diego’s Cantina, Middletown
