Claudia H. (Humphrey) Scott, 86, of Barrington, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at home with her children by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late J. Parker Scott. They were married for 63 years.

Born in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Virginia and Wallace (Bud) Humphrey.

Of all of Claudia’s accomplishments, nothing topped her love and pride in her family. She leaves Thomas Humphrey Scott of Bristol, Steven Parker Scott and his wife Lucia of Portsmouth and daughter Kimberly Baker Scott of Barrington. She also leaves her pride and joy grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Scott and wife Nika, Trevor Humphrey Scott, Shane Parker Scott, Taylor Cawley Scott, Mia Thuy Goyette and her great-granddaughter Kaja Claudia Scott.

Claudia was known around town for her almost perfect attendance at her children’s and grandchildren’s soccer, hockey, baseball games and Mia’s dance competitions.

Claudia was a communicant of St. John’s Episcopal Church where she was a past president of the E.C.W. and a longtime member of the Altar Guild.

She was an avid bridge player and teacher, having played with several groups over the years. The last few years Mondays were special, that’s when good friends gathered around the bridge table.

Due to Rhode Island’s current Covid-19 restrictions, Claudia’s service will be held at a future date when we are all able to gather together in church again.
