Cirillo: Town clerk must show great customer service

Posted

My overarching goal as your Town Clerk is that my office provides service that is accurate, efficient and personal. I have worked to assure that an automated phone attendant at the Town Hall is not the way to go.

I believe you should speak to a person and not get lost in those horrible all-too-often heard technology-driven “press one for this and that” messages. Nothing substitutes for personal interaction to help fulfill your needs.

If a customer can’t or doesn’t want to go to Town Hall for something I provide, I believe it is important to determine how to get it to them, and do it.

I have hand-delivered ballot applications to shut-ins, notarized in nursing homes, emailed thousands of links, documents, and advices. I even issued a marriage license in a bride’s trolley just before a wedding. You need something? Just let me know; you will get it!

Lou Cirillo

Mr. Cirillo is a Republican running for Bristol Town Clerk.
