Catching the eye of South Coast birds

Dan Logan will show his images of birds in flight, taken during the past three years in Bristol County, when the Paskamansett Bird Club meets at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Community Hall of Friends Meeting, 739 Horseneck Road, in South Dartmouth.

Mr. Logan, a freelance writer and photographer from Fairhaven, will share the stories behind the photographs. He will pay special attention to the challenges of photographing birds as they fly.

"I especially like it when the bird makes eye contact with me," Mr. Logan says. "For a moment our worlds overlap."

He will also demonstrate the equipment he uses for bird photography.

The meeting is free, open to the public, and accessible.
