Carol Ann Marshall, 74, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Fall River, Mass., Carol was the daughter of the late Armand and Mary (Proto) Hamel. She was also predeceased by her brother, Armand Hamel, Jr.

Carol was the beloved wife of Thomas Marshall for the last 21 years. Carol also leaves behind her three children, Mark Palazio (his wife Pauleena, of Glocester, R.I.), Gina (Palazio) Rigby (of Fall River), Matthew Palazio (his wife Jennifer of Attleboro, Mass.), and step-son Nathan Marshall (of Deep River, Conn.). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Rigby, Nicole Rigby, Mollie Rigby, Ava Palazio, Kyle Palazio, Anthony Palazio, Zoe Marshall, and Ethan Marshall. She will also be remembered by her niece, Angela Hamel, her nephew Andrew Hamel, and the countless lives she touched.

Carol received an associate’s degree in Business from Bryant College. She worked as a medical assistant for over 25 years at Bayside OBGYN and retired after 15 years of dedicated service to the office of Dr. David M. Beitle.

Carol devoted her life to raising her three children and was extremely proud of all they have accomplished. Affectionately known by her grandchildren as Mimi, she loved every moment she shared with them. Carol enjoyed knitting, theater, movies, traveling, spending time with family and going out with her friends. She was born with her heart on her sleeve, a fire in her soul and a mouth that sometimes couldn’t be controlled. She had a wonderful smile that would light up a room and leaves behind so many beautiful memories.
