Carl A. Luther, 65, of Stanley Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Providence, a son of Irene (Lindsay) Luther of Barrington and the late Bruce A. Luther, he lived in Barrington for many years.  

Mr. Luther served on the Barrington Police Department for 30 years.  

Besides his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Amanda L. Luther of Barrington; two sisters, Cindy Benway and her husband Rusty of Barrington and Diane Baxter and her husband John of East Providence; several nieces and nephews and two great nieces.  

A Mass of Christian burial was held in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington. A private family burial followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Contributions in Carl’s memory to the Carmelite Monastery, 25 Watson Avenue, Barrington, RI, 02806 would be deeply appreciated. Arrangements are by the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, Riverside.
