At the Aug. 19 Bristol Town Council meeting, it was agreed an order will be placed for the smaller 35-gallon trash and recycle bins after a sign-up number approaching the minimum order of 100 is attained. If the number is trending up, the order can be placed soon so the bins will be available before the winter weather arrives.
The 35-gallon bins are 6” shorter and 8’’ narrower than the 65s. They weigh a lot less and are big enough that I will still be able to put them out every other week, and narrow enough to move around a car in most small garages.
Job Lot has another brand of 32-gallon bins stacked up right near the exit door; these will give you an idea of the capacity.
Call the Bristol DPW at 253-4100, ext. 4 and leave your name and address and ask to be put on the list. If you don’t need the smaller bins, please share this information with anyone you think might need them.
