PORTSMOUTH — “Broadway From Then ’Til Now 6,” a concert of Broadway show tunes, old and new, is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Portsmouth High School auditorium, Education Lane.

All proceeds benefit the Portsmouth Public Education Foundation (PPEF), Looking Upwards and other local causes.

This community event is suitable for all ages. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children under 10. Online tickets are at www.Broadway6.eventbrite.com or call 683-2824.

The Dr. Robert A. Davidson Charitable Fund was formed in memory of Dr. Davidson, known to most as Bob or Dr. D., who was a Portsmouth resident who practiced dentistry in Tiverton for 37 years. The fund is dedicated to raising money for local community causes.

Bob was dedicated to his family and his community, especially children. All nine of his grandchildren attend school in Portsmouth.

The sixth annual benefit concert was organized by professional actor/musicians Laurie Davidson Spaner, daughter of Dr. Davidson, and her husband Craig Spaner of Portsmouth, who have many years of experience performing in the Boston area as well as Rhode Island, New York and Connecticut.

Joining Mr. and Mrs. Spaner in the group of 14 singers, five dancers and six band members are Kim Kekligian Stamoulis, Sara Moore, Abby Moore and Olivia Brennan of Portsmouth, Lily Ferreira of Middletown, Bristol native (now in New York) Adam Cavalieri, Warren residents Kevin and Katie Silva, several Boston area professionals, as well as Stage Door Dance students Emma Adkins, Alexis Alvanas, Megan Buddemeyer, Brooke Daigle and Fiona Dooley, all from Portsmouth.
