Bristol Warren School District hires new finance director

Posted

The Bristol Warren Regional School District approved the hiring of a new CFO/Director of Finance during their meeting on Monday night. The district had been without a CFO since Tony Ferrucci retired late last year.

Danielle Carey, a North Providence native who previously worked for the State Division of Municipal Finance and as the Finance Director for the Town of Smithfield, will begin in her new role for Bristol Warren on May 8.

“I just want to thank the school committee and Superintendent Riley for this amazing opportunity,” Carey said to the committee. “The interview process gave me great insight into what you guys are looking for in this community and I really am glad to be a part of the team. I look forward to working alongside each and every one of you. I am very excited to get started, start working, and hopefully give you all the information and resources you need to make the best decisions. So thank you.”

“We’re all very happy to have you,” said Chairperson Nicky Piper.

“Especially me,” said Superintendent Ana Riley, with a smile.
