Police dispersed a man who was yelling at a woman in a parking lot on Gooding Avenue at 2:47 p.m.

Tuesday, June 14

The larceny of a catalytic converter was reported at 10:47 a.m. from Broadcommon Road.

Justin Vars, 35, of Bristol, was arrested following a domestic disturbance on Bradford Street at 11:18 p.m. He was charged with the criminal violation of a no contact order (first offense), was arraigned and released.

Wednesday, June 15

An aggressive panhandler was reported near Cumberland Farms on Metacom Avenue at 7:28 a.m.

Thursday, June 16

A man reported as suspicious for walking onto peoples’ porches and taking pictures in the area of Wood Street at 2:01 a.m.  was just a misunderstood delivery driver.

Friday, June 17

Police issued a no trespass order to a man at 9:58 a.m. who was described as disorderly and intoxicated while visiting a convenient store on Wood Street.

Ashton Turner, 56, of Boston, Mass, was taken into custody following an incident on a RIPTA bus at 2:19 p.m. in the area of Hope Street and Creek Lane. They were charged with one count of disorderly conduct and were transported to the ACI following their arraignment.

The animal control officer assisted a mail carrier on Perry Street after a loose dog jumped into the mail delivery vehicle at 3:13 p.m.

Saturday, June 18

The animal control officer retrieved two baby raccoons from a yard on Lafayette Drive at 1:00 p.m.

A complainant reported at 7:46 p.m. that a man near Bradford and Thames Streets had yelled racial slurs at him. Police dispersed the individual from the area.

The Bristol Fire Department battled a fire on Bray Lane at 8:52 p.m. Red Cross and National Grid were called in for assistance, and the fire was batted back by fire personnel.

Sunday, June 19

Police investigated a missing American flag from its pole on the Town Common. Bristol DPW confirmed they had not moved the flag and would check with employees.
