Bristol and Warren school committee candidates meet Thursday night

Public is welcome to submit questions for online debate

The 12 candidates seeking seats on the Bristol Warren Regional School Committee will be meeting in a virtual forum Thursday night, Oct. 22. From 5 to 7 p.m., the candidates from both Warren and Bristol will appear via Zoom in a forum that can be seen live.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the four candidates for two Warren seats will discuss school issues and debate each other. At approximately 5:50 p.m., the eight candidates for three Bristol seats will do the same.

The audience will be able to watch the proceedings but will not be able to ask questions directly to the candidates. Moderator Scott Pickering of the East Bay Media Group will be preparing and delivering the questions. A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once.
