There has been a flurry of activity at Police Cove over the past few weeks.
A new boat ramp is being installed as one of the final projects to the park, which was completed in 2016. The boat ramp is being funded by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.
William Anthony Excavating of North Kingstown is the contractor doing the work on the ramp. They are familiar with the site since they were the contractors who won the bid for the park project. The work was originally included in the Barrington River Bridge project but was shifted to the park project once sufficient funding was secured.
According to Phil Hervey, Barrington’s town planner, the work should be completed within three to four weeks, depending on the weather.
