The East Bay Eagles co-op girls hockey team lost to LaSalle Academy 3-2 in an Injury Fund game at Thayer Arena on Saturday night, Dec. 7.
Katherine Barker scored one goal and assisted on the other for the Eagles, while Alexis Malnerich also scored for East Bay. Mallory Cox notched an assist as well. East Bay finished the two-period game with 19 shots on net — 11 in the first period and eight in the second.
Boys hockey
The Barrington High School boys hockey team played in a pair of Injury Fund games at the Portsmouth Abbey Ice Rink on Saturday night, Dec. 7. The Eagles faced off against Portsmouth High School and Mt. Hope High School. Barrington is scheduled to play against Burrillville on Saturday night, Dec. 21, at the Abbey rink, at 6 p.m.
Girls basketball
Barrington will travel to Ponaganset High School for a game on Thursday night, at 7 p.m. The Eagles will play at home against Mt. Hope in an Injury Fund game on Friday. The game tips off at 4 p.m.
Indoor track
The BHS boys and girls teams will compete in a meet on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Providence Career and Technical Academy. The boys meet will begin at noon, while the girls start at 3 p.m.
Boys and girls swimming
Barrington will open the season with a meet against North Kingstown High School on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6:45 p.m. at the Bayside Family YMCA.
Wrestling
The Eagles will open the season with a match against Classical High School on Monday, Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. The match will be held at Classical.
Boys basketball
Barrington will play at home against Mt. Hope in an Injury Fund game on Friday at 4 p.m. The Eagles will also host Middletown on Dec. 20 at 7:15 p.m.
