The Barrington High School gymnastics team lost to Mt. Hope 128.50-133.05, but defeated Rogers High School on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Jessica Liang led the Eagles in the all around, finishing with 33.6 — she had 8.9 in vault, 8.8 on the beam, 8.4 on floor exercises and 7.5 on bars. Ally Jameison scored a 32.2 in the all around — she had 8.35 on beam, 8.2 on vault, 8.05 on floor, and 7.65 on bars.

Other Eagles to compete in the all around were Lily DaPonte (31.05), Katie Leblanc (31.25) and Hailey Searles (30.7).

Boys basketball

Barrington defeated St. Andrew’s 78-30 on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Eleven different players finished in the scoring column for the Eagles — Connor Sullivan had 13, Brigham Dunphy had 11, Nick Scandura and Jack Abadi each scored eight, Ethan Coutu added seven and Matt Raffa finished with six. Graham Vatter had five, while Ben Proulx and Cole Reed each scored four, and Sean Bonneau and Mike Raffa had three each.

The lopsided win over the Saints followed a 63-49 loss to LaSalle Academy on Thursday, Feb. 4. Matt Raffa scored 11 and Connor Sullivan finished with 10 in the losing effort.

Girls basketball

Dani Ceseretti scored 19 points to lead Barrington High School to a 46-42 victory over Wheeler School on Wednesday, Feb. 3. Caroline McConaghy finished with 10 points, Sophia Richardson added six and Lindsey Lemay scored five.

Ceseretti, Lemay and McConaghy led the offensive charge for Barrington in a 40-33 win over LaSalle on Friday, Feb. 5. Chloe Rouleau also scored four points in the victory.

Boys indoor track

The Eagles completed their dual meet season on Saturday, and will compete in the Class B Championship next weekend.  In the dual meet, Jackson Duffy finished first in the 55-meter hurdles, while Eli Terrell was third. Holden Vaughan won the 1,500-meter race and finished third in the 1,000. Will Sanchez was second in the long jump and finished third in 300-meter race. Andrew Blazewicz was fourth in the 300, and Asher Robbins and Liam Capozza finished fourth and fifth in weight throw, respectively. In the high jump, Thomas McAdams and Blazewicz tied for fourth place. Aaron Brady was fourth in the 55-meter dash.
