Dog walkers and beach-goers were surprised to find a white pickup truck partially submerged in the water at the beach that abuts the Rhode Island Country Club property in Barrington on Friday morning, April 27.

It appears that the truck may have been a victim of an incoming tide.

An official with the Barrington Fire Department said someone called the station to report the submerged vehicle on Friday morning. Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene. After determining it was not an emergency, officials left the truck to be towed away.
