The Little League All-Star season is in full swing across Rhode Island — some teams are playing for district titles, while others have yet to begin and some have already been eliminated.

Following is a breakdown of Barrington's teams:

Barrington's All-Stars take the field

The Little League All-Star season is in full swing across Rhode Island — some teams are playing for district titles, while others have yet to begin and some have already been eliminated.

Following is a breakdown of Barrington's teams:

• Andreozzi Tournament team — Scheduled to play its first game Monday, July 13; Roster: Manager Elliott Anderson, assistant coaches Thomas Crain and Christopher Promades, players Alexander Anderson, Jeff Caggiano, James Caldarella, Cullen Crain, Mason Crain, Blake Dolan, Miles Fontaine, Connor Helm, John Patrick Lawson, Colin McDermott, Owen Pfeffer, Christopher Promades and Lucas Tanous.

• Ron Silva 9-10 team — Defeated Bristol 8-0 on July 7, and East Providence, 11-0 on July 9, defeated Rumford 5-1 on July 13, and will play Warren in a winner's bracket final on Friday in Barrington; Roster: Manager Michael Raffa, players Evan Anderson, Zachary Berlinsky, Jetzel Cagijas, Daniel Coogan, Griffin Crain, Matthew Davis, Adam Gorman, Connor Huard, Mitchell Ivatts, Quinn Murphy, Spencer Proulx, Matt Raffa, Gabe Tanous.

• 10-11 District team — Lost to Portsmouth, 12-4 on July 6, lost to Riverside, 5-3, on July 8 and eliminated; Roster: Manager Matt Fletcher, coach Christopher Abadi, coach Peter Kriz, players Jack Abadi, Andrew Fletcher, Jackson Gorman, Bryan Ivatts, Jacob Koble, Jack Kriz, Josh LeBlanc, Joey Medeiros, John Niemeyer, Benjamin Ptaszek, David Raposa, Thomas Rocha, Edward Shapiro.

• Majors team — Defeated Fairlawn 19-1 on June 27, defeated Newport 9-4 on June 29, defeated Middletown 9-1 on July 8, lost to Portsmouth 3-2 on July 13, plays Darlington tonight (July 15) in loser's bracket final; Roster: Manager Robert Zeleznik, coach Brian Durkin, coach George Promades, players George Promades, Matthew Borden, Aaron Brady, Brendan Conaty, Owen Crain, Bennett Durkin, Sam Faulkner, Nolan Fletcher, Thomas Huard, Joshua Leadem, Benjamin Proulx, Nicholas Ptaszek, Michael Zeleznik.

Softball All-Stars

• 9-10 District team — Lost to Tiverton 13-0 on July 6, lost to Middletown 16-5 on July 10 and eliminated; Roster: Beatrice Adamek, Michael Baer, Courtney Brady, Katie Brum, Mallory Cox, Julia Daniello, Alison Dumas, Megan Dupre, Freya Emerson, Emma Levin, Morgan Perry.

• Majors team — Lost to East Providence 18-8 on June 28, defeated Newport 7-2 on June 29, lost to Portsmouth 16-0 on July 2, and eliminated; Roster: Olivia Daniello, Emma DiGiacomo, Kelly Gorman, Grace Lardner, Zoe Lefebvre, Jenna Macaluso, Kate McCarty, Emily Medizza, Ava Napolitano, Grace Senechal and Catey Warren.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
