Residents can chalk their walks

The PTO at Sowams School in Barrington is offering fun ideas to families as they cope with the limitations imposed as part of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Chalk Your Walk" encourages families to write messages of positivity on their driveways; then parents and their children can take a walk or drive  around their neighborhood and check for other residents' messages.

And on Tuesday, local families participated in "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" which is inspired by the popular children's book, and asked people to place a teddy bear in their window at home and then go out for a walk or drive to hunt for other residents' bears.

"In these challenging times, we are all looking for ways to engage as a community while keeping our social distances, and to maintain a sense of normalcy and fun for our children."
