The Barrington High School football team finished the Thanksgiving Day game with 296 yards rushing on 32 carries.
Senior running back Payton Murphy led the way with 140 yards, while AJ DiOrio finished with 70 yards on seven carries and Alex McClelland tallied 43 yards on five carries. Mitchell Ivatts had 13, Jared Lesk had 25 yards on five carries, and Luca Marino finished with six on one carry.
Murphy also reached the 1,000-yard rushing mark — in fact, the senior finished the season with 1,100 yards.
“All the credit goes to the line. I could not have done this without the line,” Murphy said following the game.
“I feel amazing. There’s going to be a lot of tears on the bus ride back, but right now I feel amazing.”
