Man tries to enter Ida Court home, then runs away

Posted

A Barrington resident called police after a man tried to enter his home at about 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12.

The Ida Court resident told police he heard a screen door open, and when he went to the door he saw a man with his sweatshirt pulled up over his mouth. He asked the man if he could help him, but the man then turned and ran away toward Sunset Drive. The resident said he thought he heard the man utter something in Spanish.

Police scoured the area, even speaking with people fishing on the White Church Bridge, but could not locate the suspect.
