A Barrington resident had an unwelcome visitor late Friday night, July 28.

The Adams Point Road resident called police at about 11:55 p.m., after an intoxicated man showed up in his backyard.

The resident said the intoxicated man was sitting on the patio steps and his bike was nearby. The man's clothes were dirty — he was wearing shorts and golf shirt — and he had cuts and bruises on his body.

Police said the intoxicated individual was a 46-year-old Barrington man. He was not charged.
