Barrington police issued municipal court summonses to four adults who were playing tennis at the Barrington High School tennis courts on Sunday, May 3, at about 12:40 p.m.
The courts are off-limits as per an executive order issued by the town manager. (Athletic fields, playgrounds and other facilities have also been closed to the public.) Police said there are signs at the courts announcing their closure and caution tape.
Three of the people issued summonses are Barrington residents; the fourth is a New Hampshire resident.
All four individuals will need to attend a future municipal court hearing and could face fines of up to $500. Municipal court hearings have been suspended currently.
