Barrington Police: White nationalist flyers found in town

Flyers discovered Saturday night and Sunday morning

Posted

Barrington Police received multiple reports last weekend of white nationalist flyers scattered on nearly a dozen roads in town.

The flyers had been left inside plastic sandwich bags and weighed down with small rocks; they were located on Washington Road, Cedar Avenue, Wallis Avenue, Commonwealth Avenue, Maple Avenue, Broadview Avenue, Overlook, Nayatt Road, Ferncliff, and North Lake Drive.

One side of the flyer states: "New Englanders! You are being replaced. Organize and resist" A website address and email are listed.

The other side of the flyer lists each New England state and how much "less white" it has become. It finishes with a question: "Where is this going?"

Police are trying to locate video footage of a suspect or suspects from home security cameras where the flyers were found.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that Barrington is not the only town to be targeted for white nationalist flyers. The same flyers were also dropped in Warwick, Providence and North Kingstown in the last seven months.
