A Barrington man contacted police after he was involved in an incident with a bike rider on Thursday, Feb. 25.
The complainant told police that he had been driving down Lincoln Avenue when he passed the bike rider, who allegedly made a rude gesture toward him.
The complainant said he later saw the same bike rider near the bike path; it was there that the man on the bike allegedly spit at the complainant as he drove his car past.
Police tracked down the bike rider, who denied having spit at the man. The bike rider said he was merely blowing his nose.
