Princeton University junior and former Barrington High School standout Adam Kelly won the weight throw event at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday, Feb. 25.
The victory was a sweet reward for Kelly, who finished as the runner-up the last two years to Olympian Rudy Winkler.
Kelly, an All-America in this event a year ago, had three of his five throws travel more than 20 meters, with his best being his final throw of 21.52.
Kelly's win helped Princeton to the HEPS Championship title.
