Barrington native earns college soccer honor
Denali Sexton holds scoring records at Colby-Sawyer College
Colby-Sawyer senior and Barrington native Denali Sexton has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-New England Region First team as announced by the association.
Denali, who was a stellar player for the Barrington High School soccer team, becomes the first men’s soccer player to earn three awards from the association. United Soccer Coaches was previously known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Colby-Sawyer’s most prolific scorer adds to the list of awards earned this season and over the course of his impressive four-year career. This season, Sexton earned his second consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Year award and was named to the All-NAC First Team for the fourth time. He will graduate as the program’s all-time leader in points (145), goals (56), and assists (33).
Denali was one of four student-athletes from the NAC to be honored.
