Barrington High School senior Bobby Wind broke his own school record in the 110-meter hurdles while competing in the Track Night NYC meet at Ichan Stadium in New York City on Thursday.
Wind’s time of 13.89 seconds also tied the 2004 all-time Rhode Island State Record held by Hope High School’s Pete Gbaa.
The Eagles also competed in the St. Germain Invitational at West Warwick on Saturday, May 3.
Caleb Satisfield led the Eagles with a stellar performance in the high jump. Satisfield won the event with a height of 6 feet, 6 inches. Barrington High School Track Coach Bill Barrass said Satisfield’s jump tied the 1983 school record held by Kevin Ryan.
Shea Parish finished third in the high jump with a height of 6 feet, and Colton Glass was fourth with a jump of 5 feet, 10 inches.
Charly Potter also had a strong meet. The Barrington High School senior won the javelin with a season’s best distance of 171 feet, 7 inches.
Henry Stockwell finished second in the 800-meter race and Marius Bonard was sixth in the event. Grady Hazlett finished third in the 300-meter hurdles and eighth in the 110-meter hurdles. He also teamed up with Aden Memoli, Bonard and Stockwell to finish fourth in the 4x400-meter relay.
Daniel Chun, Brooks Mello, Michael Chun and Brady Andrew finished fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 1,500-meter race.
Joe Adams was third in the discus, fifth in the hammer and sixth in the shot put, while Memoli finished fifth in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump.
