Barrington girls defeat North Kingstown in quarterfinals
Eagles will play against LaSalle in semis
The Barrington High School girls soccer team scored three second half goals and broke open a close game en route to a 4-1 win over North Kingstown in the Division I playoff quarterfinals on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
The Eagles and Skippers were tied 1-1 at half-time, but Barrington capitalized on its scoring chances in the second half and pulled away for the victory. The Eagles will square off against LaSalle Academy in the semifinals today, Nov. 19.
BHS senior Tess Gagliano scored the Eagles' first goal in the game against North Kingstown, tying the score 1-1 after the Skippers opened a 1-0 lead.
Barrington's Ashley Edwards, Abigail Carlotto and Dani Ceseretti found the back of the Skippers' net in the second half. Ceseretti, Grace Muccino and Sarah Yee assisted on the goals, while Alaina Wood made six saves in net for the Eagles.
