Barrington Pop Warner and Barrington Flag Football hosted “Championship Sunday” earlier this month at Chianese Field.

Seventeen teams competed for the four division championships. At the end of day, the Bills, Bears, Raiders and 49ers had each won titles.

In the 6U Division, the Bills, coached by Glenn Tanzman capped an impressive season with a win over the Patriots in the finals. The Patriots earned a trip to the finals with an earlier win over the Dolphins.

In the 8U Division, the Bears, coached by Matt DiOrio, capped an undefeated season with a win over the Vikings in the finals. The Bears knocked off the Packers in the first round while the Vikings put together a last second comeback over the Lions.

The Raiders, led by Coach Will LoVerme, won the 10U Division title. The Raiders topped the Chiefs in a thrilling championship game. The Broncos, Jaguars, Colts and Chargers also put forth great efforts in the playoff competition.

In the 14U Division, the 49ers and their coaches Nate Reid and Alex McClelland defeated the Seahawks in the finals. The 49ers defeated the Cardinals in the semifinals while the Seahawks outlasted the Rams.
