Volunteers needed for community-wide event

Posted

The second annual Barrington Day of Caring will be held on Monday, Oct. 14 (Columbus Day).

Town officials are seeking volunteers for the community-wide event which is designed to bring help to those in need through service projects.

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities — carpentry, cement work, demolition, drywall, painting, plumbing and more. People of all skill levels are needed.

The program runs from noon until 4 p.m., and children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
