Henry Kelsey scored two goals and Dawson Wood scored a goal and assisted on another to help lead the Barrington High School boys ice hockey team to a 4-3 win over Prout School on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Prout opened up the scoring with a goal in the first period. The Eagles responded in the second period with two goals by Kelsey — the first was assisted by Cody Wood and Brock Carroll, and the second was assisted by Ayden Sheedy and Nick Clark.

Prout knotted up the score 2-2 by the end of the second period.

Again, Barrington responded with two straight goals. Dawson Wood scored at 7:38, off an assist from Joe Carmone. Trent Senn gave the Eagles a two-goal lead just a moment later, at 7:42. Dawson Wood and Connor Hayes assisted on the goal.

Meanwhile, Dom Bruzzi was stellar in net for the Eagles. The Crusaders peppered shots at Bruzzi — he finished the game with 36 saves on 39 shots.

Three days after knocking off Prout, the Eagles traveled Western Massachusetts and skated to a 6-3 win over Longmeadow (Mass.) High School.

Dawson Wood and Senn led the way for the Eagles. Wood scored two goals and assisted on three others, while Senn scored two goals and assisted on two.

Connor Hayes tallied a goal and an assist, while Kiran Patel finished with a goal and Clark had an assist.

The victories improved the Eagles’ record to 4-4-0 in Division I and 6-5-1 overall.

Barrington will play against Smithfield High School on Saturday, Jan. 25, at Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink at 6:30 p.m.
