The Barrington High School boys indoor track team finished second in the Class B Championships held on Saturday.

Sam Read was a key contributor to the Eagles' strong showing, as he played a role in 20 points for Barrington. Read finished second in the 55-meter dash and third in the 300. He also ran a leg of Barrington's fifth place 4x200 relay team. Other members of the 4x200 relay were Ben Geoghegan, Ryan Brady and Walter Joachim-Delpoio. George Wicker was third in the 600 and Eliot Laidlaw was third in the 1,000. The 4x400 relay team of Wicker, Calvin Hennessey, Geoghegan and James Gunness finished second overall. Joachim-Delpoio was fourth in the 55 hurdles and long jump. Brendan Fay was third in the 3,000.

The Eagles were seeded third going into the meet.

"It was great to see the team once again rise to the occasion at a championship meet!" said coach Bill Barrass.
