The Barrington High School boys indoor track team raced to a fourth place finish in the Metropolitan Division Championships on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
LaSalle won, followed by Classical and Central.
Barrington's Walter Joachim-Delpoio won the 55-meter hurdles, while Jack Dunn finished second in the weight throw. George Wicker, Dominic Portelli, Calvin Hennessey and Jamie Gunness teamed up to finish second in the 4x800-meter relay event.
Wicker, Hennessey, Gunness and Ben Geoghegan finished fourth in the 4x400-meter relay, and Geoghegan, Ryan Brady, Joachim-Delpoio and Sam Read finished sixth in the 4x200-meter relay.
Barrington had two runners place in the top five of the 3,000-meter race: Brendan Fay was fourth and Eliot Laidlaw finished fifth. Wicker also finished fourth in the 600.
