Barrington's Anthony Colonna recently qualified for the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals at Augusta National, home of the Masters Golf Tournament.

Anthony competed at local and regional courses including Button Hole in Providence,, Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, Mass., and TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn. to qualify for the nationals.

Anthony, who competed in the 10-11 year-old category, started playing golf with his father and grandfather when he was just four years old. He has participated in the New England PGA Junior Tour, and for the last four years competed in Drive, Chip and Putt, a nationwide youth golf development initiative for boys and girls ages 7-15, designed to inspire a new generation to choose golf as a lifetime pursuit.

Anthony finished in first place in his age division at the Drive, Chip and Putt Regional Qualifier at TPC River Highlands.

The 2020 Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel on April 5, the eve of the Masters Tournament.
