Barbara (Molloy) Duffy, 90, returned to the loving arms of her late husband, Thomas Duffy, on March 25, 2019.
At the end of her life, Barbara was surrounded by her loving daughters, Barbara Duffy (Protentis) and Mary (Duffy) Tetzner, as well as her sons-in-law, Paul Protentis and Edward Tetzner. Barbara leaves six grandchildren who adored her, Beth (Tetzner) Shactel, Thomas Tetzner, Sam Duffy-Protentis, Alexis Duffy-Protentis, Nichole Duffy-Protentis and Jack Duffy-Protentis. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Ben Shactel and Fiona Shactel. Barbara was the sister of Eleanor (Molloy) Thorpe and the late Edward (Bud) Molloy.
Barbara’s greatest joy was sitting at Briggs Beach in Little Compton with her family. Born and raised in Pawtucket, Barbara had homes in both Pawtucket and Little Compton. Barbara spent her career helping others as a school nurse-teacher. Barbara spent her final years living in Easton, Massachusetts with her daughter, Barbara and family.
A Mass and celebration of Barbara’s life will take place at St. Catherine’s Church in Little Compton on Monday, April 1, at 11 a.m. Visitors will be welcome to greet the family prior to the Mass beginning at 10 a.m.
