Linden Place Mansion is hosting its first ever “Art Blooming at Linden Place

The historic 1810 mansion, its collections and gardens will serve as an inspirational backdrop to dozens of original artwork and floral arrangements created by local artists and designers. Expressive forms of design and art inspired by the Linden Place gardens or mansion will be discovered in every room of the 1810 historic house museum.

Art Blooming at Linden Place will kick-off the opening of the season for the 1810 historic house museum and gardens.

Art Blooming at Linden Place, a Covid-19 safe event, can be viewed Saturday, May 8th and Sunday, May 9th, 11-4 pm. Timed tickets are $10 Members, $15 Non-members. An opening reception will take place on Friday, May 7th.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
