Arnold Stoehr Brooks, 69, passed away on October 3, 2018, in East Providence . He was known as "Skipper" to his family and friends.
Born in Newport, RI, he was the son of Dorothy M. Brooks and the late Arnold C. Brooks.
He was an artist, drummer, animal lover and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed watching movies and TV.
He was involved with the Maher Center workshop in Newport, and the Life Inc. group home in Bristol. He attended Camp Jabberwocky for over 50 years, known there as "the world's happiest man". He gave joy to everyone he met.
He leaves behind his mother, Dorothy M. Brooks, his sister, Ruth Procaccini and brother-in-law Dr. Robert L. Procaccini, a niece, Dena C. Procaccini, and many cousins and friends. He was the uncle of the late Eric R. Procaccini.
