Sweet Spring has arrived! Bring the kids to explore the Audubon trails in Bristol, meet some cool critters, discover marine life in the aquarium, and join special programs and activities each day that are free with admission. Registration is not required. Nature crafts will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, as well as a nature story at 10 a.m. Animal interviews take place at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., as well as additional different activities each day including turtle racing, fairy fort building, and more.

End the week with a meet-and-greet with Darwin the turtle on Sunday, April 21! This event, unlike all other vacation programming, is not included with admission and requires advance registration.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
