Andrew Tom Stewart, 43, died Jan. 29, 2021, at his home. He was born Feb. 28, 1977, in Mannassas, Va., the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Sauser) Stewart.

Andrew enjoyed hunting, cars, motorcycles, music and the outdoors.

He is survived by his domestic partner, Gabriella Alden of Hodgdon; her children, Joseph Alden, and Samantha and her husband Anthony Russo and their son Angelo; one brother, Charles Stewart; and one sister, Jessica Stewart, both of Rhode Island; two nieces, Penelope Stewart Marques and Violet Stewart Marques; four aunts, Katy, Rosie, Mary, and Annie Sauser; one uncle, John Sauser; late uncles Lance and Doug Stewart; aunts Elizabeth Seeger, Theresa Figueredo and many cousins and friends that he adored.

A funeral service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Special Olympics. To leave condolences and to share memories please visit www.bowersfuneral.com.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
